News Digest June 2023
A curation of news stories impacting health insurance and brokers, population health management and health tech from last month.
It seems that this is a rich month for interesting news.
Within IPMI, price inflation is uncomfortably high, especially in the context of other (less inflated) data on underlying regional costs from Milliman and PwC. Meanwhile, Diot-Siaci has announced some aggressive expansion and investment plans, and AXA has shuffled its senior management with a greater emphasis on health.
In the wider health space, we see ever growing trends into home health,
precision medicine, and single disease (eg cancer) employee benefit service products.
In pharmacy, drone delivery trials catch the eye as does a widening of Uber health delivery services. In digital health, we read of the increasing rate of development in applications such that early stage agreements may well see much churn.
No surprises too around the bullish outlook for Indian health insurance.
We hope this addition has entertained.
